3. Iced Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso
What’s in it: Brown Sugar Syrup, Blonde Brewed Espresso, Oatmilk, Ice, Cinnamon Powder
If you’re exploring Starbucks iced coffee menu looking for a drink that’s not overly sweet, then the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso drink is worth consideration.
This coffee-forward iced espresso has one more shot of espresso than most other drinks and is half as sweet.
That’s right, brown sugar syrup is measured in half-dose pumps.
To make the perfect sip, the espresso is cooled by shaking it with ice and syrup. Then, it’s topped with milk and a touch of cinnamon.
4. Starbucks Nitro Cold Brew Coffee
What’s in it: Cold Brew Coffee, Nitro Gas
When Starbucks launched cold brew in 2015, this new type of cold coffee beverage was an immediate hit.
The cold brew itself is sweeter than regular iced coffee since the brewing method reduces acidity. And infusing the cold brew with nitrogen gas adds even more sweetness without added sugar.
As a bonus, nitro cold brew is smooth, bubbly, sweet and super cold—so cold, it doesn’t need ice!
To take it over the top, order nitro cold brew with vanilla sweet cream cold foam. The ribbons of cream are so enticing.
5. Iced Starbucks Blonde Vanilla Latte
What’s in it: Vanilla Syrup, Blonde Brewed Espresso, Milk, Ice
Want an iced espresso drink with a touch of vanilla sweetness?
An Iced Blonde Vanilla Latte is a straightforward mixture of Starbucks vanilla syrup, blonde espresso and creamy milk served over ice.
This coffee-house classic is a longtime favorite of many Starbucks customers.

7. Iced Coffee
What’s in it: Brewed Coffee, Classic Syrup, Ice
Craving a traditional iced coffee?
The best drink to order is Starbucks Iced Coffee. This is also the ideal cold coffee to get if you want a little less caffeine compared to other cold coffees at Starbucks.
As a bonus, it’s one of the cheapest Starbucks drinks on the menu.
To make an iced coffee, freshly brewed coffee is chilled, sweetened with Classic syrup and served over ice.
Feel free to switch the flavor of syrup or leave it out altogether. Additionally, you can add in a splash of milk, dairy or dairy-free.
8. Iced Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espesso
What’s in it: Ice, Chocolate Malt Powder, Blonde Brewed Espresso, Almondmilk
Chocolate lovers may be excited by this beverage, but beware, it’s not as decadent as its name implies.
Made by shaking together espresso, ice and chocolate malt powder, this iced coffee isn’t overly sweet or overly chocolaty.
On top of that it lacks Starbucks signature creaminess, which is easily solved by swapping the almond milk for a dairy option.
All that being said, my insider-barista tells me the Iced Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espresso fan-base has definitely grown since the drink’s introduction.
9. Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew
What’s in it: Brewed Coffee, Vanilla Syrup, Ice, Salted Vanilla Sweet Cream, Caramel Syrup

12. Iced Honey Almondmilk Flat White
What’s in it: Honeyblend Syrup, Blonde Brewed Espresso, Oatmilk, Ice
While the Iced Honey Almondmilk Flat White comes and goes from the Starbucks menu, this drink is always available and is a go-to beverage for coffee lovers who want a non-dairy drink with a natural sweetener.
The honey, lightly roasted blonde espresso and Starbucks brand of almond milk certainly play well together.
Of note, this dairy-free flat white is also made with less-caffeinated ristretto shots. But don’t worry, if caffeine is what you’re all about; this drink also has an extra ristretto shot added, as well.
For a close cousin, try an Iced Honey Oatmilk Latte. If plant-based milks and the subtle sweetness of honey are your jam, both honey iced espressos are a good bet.
13. Iced Flat White
What’s in it: Ristretto Shots of Brewed Espresso, Whole Milk, Ice
Perhaps one of the creamiest of Starbucks iced handcrafted drinks, the Iced Flat White pairs ristretto shots of Starbucks signature dark roast espresso with whole milk. Of course, it’s all served over ice.

15. Iced Shaken Espresso
What’s in it: Ice, Brewed Espresso, Milk, Classic Syrup
Starbucks handcrafted iced shaken espresso beverages are one of their best iced coffee drinks to get if you want a flavorful cup of coffee that’s not swimming in sugar.
This is because shaken espressos have one more shot of espresso than other drinks of the same size and half the amount of syrup.
To make an Iced Shaken Espresso the barista shakes together classic syrup, espresso and ice. The drink is topped with cold milk.
16. Iced Cinnamon Dolce Latte
What’s in it: Cinnamon Dolce Syrup, Brewed Espresso, Milk, Ice, Whipped Cream, Cinnamon Dolce Topping
The Iced Cinnamon Dolce Latte is a bit of a treat.
17. Iced Espresso
What’s in it: Brewed Espresso, Ice
No fuss, no muss is a good way to describe the simplest of Starbucks iced coffee beverages.
The iced espresso is just that, shots of espresso served over ice. Of course, you can select a brew— dark, blonde or decaf.
Differences between Starbucks Iced Coffee, Cold Brew and Iced Espresso
Starbucks serves three types of cold coffee: regular iced coffee, cold brew coffee and iced espresso.
Each coffee is brewed differently which results in different flavors and caffeine content.
Starbucks regular iced coffee is made by hot-brewing coffee and is the least expensive way to enjoy iced coffee at Starbucks. Starbucks iced coffee is automatically sweetened with Classic syrup, but you can order it sugar-free.
Starbucks does not have decaf iced coffee, but you can get a decaf Pike Place pour-over.
Starbucks cold brew is slowly brewed for 20 hours in room temperature water. This method results in a highly caffeinated brew that’s has a smoother, sweeter flavor than regular iced coffee. For this reason, an unflavored cup of cold brew is not automatically sweetened.
Starbucks does not have decaffeinated cold brew.
Iced espresso drinks at Starbucks, like lattes, mochas, macchiatos and shaken espressos, begin with freshly-brewed espresso shots. Most Starbucks iced espresso drinks come with flavored syrup.
To get a decaf cold coffee from Starbucks order any iced espresso drink with decaffeinated brewed espresso.
Ways to Customize Iced Coffee Drinks at Starbucks
The Starbucks cold coffee menu has numerous tried-and-true iced coffee combinations. Limited-time cold coffee beverages are available on seasonal menus, as well.
But don’t think you have to stick to the menu.
You can customize any iced coffee beverage any way you want by simply switching the flavor of syrup, type of milk or toppings.
There are about ten flavored syrups to pick from and ten milk options.
For a rich and flavor-filled iced coffee add a topping. Favorites are sweet cream cold foam, whipped cream and drizzles like caramel and chocolate sauce.
